Brief Description of New Concept
- This variable VCR system is designed to be “variable” in true sense. It consists of a variable speed compressor, two options for cooling load, two types of condenser and three types of expansion device. This system gives a flexibility of operating 12 different VCR systems in a single setup. It helps is analyzing the VCR system in every possible configuration. Each of this configuration can be operated at the desired compressor speed. Data acquisition and controlling is made seamless with the use of HMI. The entire operation of the VCR system is automated with PLC controls and data logging via USB. The system can also be remotely operated by an Ethernet connection & Wi-fi.

02 COMBINE SOLID-LIQUID DESICCANT WITH VARIABLE VCR SYSTEM

Brief Description of New Concept
- This system is a test rig to study the entire operation of an AHU or domestic air conditioning systems. It consists of a variable speed compressor, a humidifier with two options for desiccant system to create desired ambient conditions. This system gives flexibility to operate 4 different features of an AHU along with variable VCR system in a single setup. This gives a possibility of studying 19 combinations of psychrometric processes. Each of this configuration can be operated at the desired compressor speed. Data acquisition and controlling is made seamless with the use of HMI. The entire operation of the system is automated with PLC controls and data logging via USB. The system can also be remotely operated by an Ethernet connection and also remotely operated by wi-fi.

03 AUTOMATIC CO2 CAPTURE PILOT PLANT

Brief Description of New Concept
- This pilot plant can evaluate the sustainability of absorption/desorption technology for CO2 capture from a targeted unit specialized in industrial waste incineration. The purpose of this setup is to investigate chemical interactions between synthetic flue gas and solvents and their impacts on process performance. At the same time, we complete our prospection by laboratory experiments to study the influence of specific degradation products on process performance. In this pilot project, we choose to focus on gas absorption and desorption by creating an inlet condition of flue gases to study the performance of different solvents.
- This pilot plant is designed in such a way that it can easily be mobilized at any location for pilot testing. It consists of a fully Automatic control panel with HMI for controlling the plant to operate it at the different conditions for evaluating different solvents and to record all the data. This system gives the flexibility to operate in batch vies process or continuous process in a single setup. It helps in analyzing the performance of different solvents by operating them on different conditions to obtain the desired performance.
- Data acquisition and control are made seamless with the use of HMI. The entire operation data logging via USB. The plant can also be remotely operated by an Ethernet port and Wi-Fi.

It can be operated over a wide range of temperatures and humidity, providing the optimum conditions for drying of heat-sensitive food materials (vitamins)

- Humidification dehumidification (HDH) is a small to medium capacity desalination method. Humidification is the process in which the moisture or water vapour or humidity is added to the air. Dehumidification means removing the moisture from the air. In Flash Chamber desalination system hot water is sprayed into vacuum flash chamber, it will generate low pressure and temperature steam. This steam is condensed by cold water in shell and tube heat exchanger.

- The Mobile bed flow visualization and Rainfall hydrographs are a self-contained unit designed to demonstrate some physical processes found in hydrology and fluvial geomorphology, including rainfall hydrographs for catchment areas of varying permeability, the formation of river and their features and effects of sediment transport, the abstraction of ground water by drains, both with and without surface recharge from rainfall, etc.

- This unit allows demonstrating on a small scale, the hydrological principles of ground water flow and the applications of these principles in some engineering constructions. Moreover, it allows to study the use of drains for water abstraction, de-watering and drainage of lakes, and demonstration of flood risks linked to land drainage works.

- This setup is basically used to cooldown the milk to a low temperature (5 °C or lower), to temporarily prevent growth of microorganisms.
- Following pasteurization, the milk is also cooled again to about 4 °C.
- To prevent aerobic spore-forming bacteria from multiplying after thermization, the milk must be rapidly chilled to 4 °C or below

- Amaze make Planetary Ball Mill has four grinding tanks installed on one turntable. When the turntables rotate, the tank axis make planetary movement, the ball and samples inside the tanks are impacted strongly in high speed movement, and samples are eventually ground into powder. - Solar still is a useful device that can be used for the distilling of brackish water for the drinking purposes. Solar still is a simple way of distilling water using the heat of the sun.
- The solar still uses the same evaporation and condensation phenomenon for the fresh water generation that happens in atmosphere to form rain.
- A conventional solar still and Stepped type solar still is shown in figure.
Technological innovations
- From comparison, it can be seen that the productivity of the stepped solar still is higher than that of the conventional.
- PCM can be filled inside the steps of the stepped solar still to improve its performance.
